Dr Ebenebe C.I 

Dr Ebenebe C.I (FCASN) is a Fellow of the College of Animal Scientist of Nigeria,an associate professor of micro live stock, who is consistently working on improving  animal protein consumption in Nigeria via research in the development of micro livestock such as giant rat, snail, grass-cutter and edible insects etc. She is a prolific writer, who has presented the finding of  research work at many national and international fora. She has equally published many articles in national and international journals. She has authored many books including; Snail biology and production techniques, Grasscutter faming, Poultry biology and production techniques, etc (see C.V. for more books).

 She served as the Head of  Department Animal Science and Technology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka from 2011 - 2014 and as Subdean Faculty of Agriculture 2014 - 2015. She is presently serving as Faculty Post Graduate Subdean for the Faculty of Agriculture.
She is the deputy director Biotechnology Centre Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is also a member of the Directoratye for Research and industrial relations and the Centre for Comunity and Rural Development, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is also the Chairman Animal Science Association of Nigeria Anambra State branch and the current President Women Academics in Agriculture.

She is the first daughter of Chief Thomas Ikechukwu Osungwu and Madam Helen Ejerinma Osungwu of Umu-Okareafor, Umudioka, Umuohi, Okija in Ihiala L.G.A. She did her primary education at Anyogu Memorial Grammer School Odakpu Onitsha and her secondary education at Ado Girls' Seondary School Onitsha. She obtained her first degree in Animal Production and Health Technology from Federal University of Technology Akure. Her second degree was also in Animal Science from University of Ibadan. Her Doctoral degree was obtained in Biological Conservation from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is therefore an expert in both Biological Conservation/Ecology. She has been in many panels set up by several Ministers of Environment for Environmental Impact Assessment of various projects in many parts of the country.

She is married to her husband Mr. Chiwendu Ebenebe. From Ezeoye village Nibo, Awka South L.G.A. the marriage has been blessed with a world class gospel artist Mr Christian Ebenebe popularly known as Bethel Christian, other wonderful kids includes Victory Dawn Ebenebe, Remedy Dazzling Ebenebe and Amazing Divine Ebenebe.
